Many people will tell you that phobias are a normal way of life and that a common occurrence of fear is not a big deal. These people do not understand your situation, but we do. Spending too much time with stress and anxiety in your life can lead to depression or other severe health problems. It can be debilitating. If you want to avoid discomfort, fear, and long-term health complications, due to severe worry over getting your teeth checked or worked on, we have an easy solution. Do not risk your overall health, or avoid proper care for your teeth by skipping dentist visits. Instead, give yourself the peace of mind you deserve by visiting us for your next appointment. Imagine walking into a dental office with absolutely no worries about what is to come - we make that possible.

Sedation dentistry employs the use of different degrees of anesthesia to relax you during a dentist visit. When you come into our office you can expect a short wait time and excellent customer service. We will usher you into our exam room and allow you to get comfortable, then we will administer your preferred dental sedation method from Nitrous Oxide to intravenous deep sedation. In some cases, you will be required to take your sedation medication the night before or 30 minutes to an hour beforehand. Most patients opt for our Nitrous Oxide method administered by a mask over your nose. When using Nitrous Oxide, we will still have to apply a local anesthetic to the area being worked on, but the sensation will be dulled. Some patients prefer to take our oral benzodiazepines medications beforehand. Both Nitrous Oxide and benzodiazepines are generally considered the safest and easiest solutions. These methods provide a happy, relaxed sensation and general feeling of well-being.

Most patients say that sedation dentistry also makes the time pass more quickly. This is a great option for those who have to have more than one cavity filled at a time, which can cause restlessness and frustration for the patient. Sedation dentistry can also be a time saver for those in a hurry to get to work or be on time for appointments after their visit. There are also IV sedation methods and general anesthesia methods which are deeper forms of sedation that are normally reserved solely for oral surgery.

All of these methods are very safe and have been practiced for decades, ensuring a complication free visit. There are very mild side effects that should wear off quickly after your appointment. Additionally, expect to retain little memory from your dentist visit— an effect that is commonly received with gladness from patients with dental phobias. We know that you will be pleased with your sedation dentistry experience with us. When you visit our office, you never have to fear your annual dentist appointments and procedures again.
